An Appetite for Revival (Part 1) by Apostle Cruise Westerlund

Apostle Cruise passionately conveyed the urgency and necessity of hunger for revival within the ministry. He emphasized the various terms associated with revival, such as spiritual renewal, awakening, and heightened awareness of God’s presence. Drawing from Acts 10:38, he highlighted the significance of being endowed with power when the Holy Spirit comes upon believers.

Apostle Cruise illustrated the importance of recognizing God’s presence, using the example of the sons of Sceva in Acts as a cautionary tale. He urged the congregation to question whether demons would recognize Jesus within them. Throughout his sermon, he encouraged believers to embrace their identity as revivalists and cautioned against complacency, stressing the need for spiritual growth and warfare against sinful habits.

Cruise emphasized the biblical foundation of revival, citing examples from the Old Testament and the book of Acts. He underscored the supernatural nature of revival and its characteristics, including a return to biblical truth and a demonstration of the Holy Spirit’s power. Apostle Cruise reiterated the importance of personal, corporate, and national revival, emphasizing humility, prayer, fasting, and repentance.

As he concluded, Apostle Cruise reminded the congregation of the price to be paid for revival and urged believers to seek personal encounters with Jesus, fostering intimacy with God as the foundation for revival. He challenged them to pursue revival with dedication, recognizing its transformative power at every level of spiritual life.
