ARE YOU MOVING IN THE SPIRIT?

Mama Salote Meredith shared a teaching on spiritual realms and the call of God for us to grow into maturity in Christ and walk in the spirit. “There is a connection between what you know about Jesus and what you become. If you desire to know what God thinks or says about a certain matter, or what He says about you – go to the Word. And He is looking for worshipers who will worship Him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:24)” Acts 17:28 – [For in Him we live, we move and have our being.] “To know Him and revere His name is our greatest privilege and responsibility. Heaven has positioned itself to watch what you will accomplish in His name.” “Last week we talked about being switched on. This week the question is: are you moving in the spirit? The Lord wants us to live out of our spirit, just like Adam lived from his spirit. He talked to God from his spirit, He named the animals from his spirit, from when he tended the garden, it was from his spirit. That shows that for us everything we do should be done from our spirit. Don’t depend on your thinking alone.” “Every time we come to hear the Word and share the Word, it builds up the truth inside of us. Our world needs the truth of the Word of God, all the problems we face here on the earth, the answers are all in the Bible. The world needs you and me, and we need to carry the Kingdom of God.” “As we grow up in the spirit, mature in the spirit – everything we need to be able to do is done in our spirit man. There’s the spirit man, the soul, and your earth suit and they all correspond to the different spiritual realms. We need to contend for greater access into the presence of God.” Diving into her teaching on spiritual realms, she explained, “A realm is a space, a region, a sphere or a domain where things take place. For example: during worship, we can say we are operating in a realm of worship – a space where we worship. There are three realms in the spirit = faith realm, anointing realm, & glory realm.” In the book of Ezekiel chapter 47 – Ezekiel has a vision of a river flowing from the temple. The water was ankle-deep, then knee-deep, then waist-deep until it became a river and deep enough to swim in. Salote explained, “In the spirit, we should move from one realm and dimension to another. Everything in God leads to greater things, and we need to move into deeper water.” “We are a spirit with a soul in an earth suit. The spirit corresponds to FAITH.The soul corresponds to the ANOINTINGAnd the earth suit corresponds to the GLORY.” “Our spirit man is the initial point of contact where we begin to interact with the spirit realm, that’s why we need faith. Faith is believing even when you don’t see it with your physical eyes. We need to believe with the Word of God, whatever the Lord says in His word. When the Lord gives you a revelation, eg, the revelation of salvation – it is your spirit man that receives it. You reach out by faith and you receive it. That is why when we are born again, it’s only the spirit that is renewed.” “The Anointing realm activates in our soul – our mind, will, and emotions. This is why some people laugh, some cry, or jump in excitement. When we connect with the realm of the anointing, it connects with our soul. It’s the emotions that are responding to the anointing. At times, we become aware and can feel heat or even electricity on our body.” “Sometimes when we are feeling these things, we need to worship.” “In the Glory realm – what begins in your spirit flows through your spirit man to your soul and finally reaches your earth suit. In the Glory, God does for us what we cannot do for ourselves. In the Glory, some people start to smell heavenly fragrances or oil on your hands, and some see glitter falling. Our bodies are responding to the Glory. The Glory realm is really a miracle realm – when you are in that kind of worship, you will leave feeling strong or receive healing if you came in sick.” 2 Chronicles 7:1-3 [When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the temple. And the priests could not enter the house of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord’s house.  When all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the Lord on the temple, they bowed their faces to the ground on the pavement and worshiped and praised the Lord, saying: “For He is good, For His mercy endures forever.”] Unpacking this scripture, Mama Salote said, “See in this story, the people were worshipping God when the cloud of His glory descended, the fire of God consumed the sacrifice and the priest could not physically carry out their duties due to the Glory.” “Why? Because their bodies were responding to God’s Glory – His manifest presence. This is why many people feel strong vibrations or they feel so numb, some shake and even fall. Their flesh has begun to yield to the Glory of God. When the flesh falls then the spirit will rise. When you shut down the flesh, then the spirit in you begins to rise up.” “Each realm builds upon the one before, Scriptures says (ACTS 17:28 -in Him we live, we move and have our being) so we see that you need to move, there is always a new realm to enter there is always another level. God builds something inside of us as we move from faith to faith, strength to strength and glory to glory.” “The inflow of the anointing as we worship brings a deeper awareness of His presence. This is what the Lord is after- a heart that seeks Him. There are so many things that the Lord wants to show us, but we are not moving or seeking. As I said last week, your blessings are looking for you but they are looking for the correct version of you. We need to mature and grow, so when the blessing comes it will rest upon you.” “I pray that the Lord would open our spiritual eyes, give us the spirit of wisdom and revelation and open up our understanding so that we would know Him more.” To watch this complete teaching, check out the replay here:https://www.facebook.com/364077920465512/videos/388255065828132

ARE YOU SWITCHED ON IN THE SPIRIT?

Mama Salote Meredith explained how we could serve in ministry or attend church all our life and yet be spiritually dead and switched off. She explained how vital it is for believers to mature in the things of the spirit and have a true encounter with Jesus, and not rely on our head-knowledge of God alone. She said, “Did you know that God looks for you in the realm of the spirit. There are truths that you cannot change and one of them is that you and I are spirits. We are spirits living in a body and we have a soul. We are not trying to be spiritual, because that (spirit) is our nature.” “We are the only beings that God created who can relate to the things of the spirit and of the natural. We can operate in both realms simultaneously.” Mama Salote explained that after Adam and Eve sinned and ate the forbidden fruit, God came looking for them in the Garden. As God, He knew exactly what had occurred, so it is not like He didn’t know where they were. God was looking for them in the realm of the spirit. When man fell – they dropped down to the physical level. And that is why the Word says that we need to worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). “Do you know that God is looking for you? He is looking for you and me in the spirit, imagine that you have an IP address in the realm of the spirit. God is pursuing and looking for you. The Holy of Holies is where God is, and it’s where we need to go. We can come to SNF all our lives, work for God, serve as a Pastor or teacher and be in ministry all our lives. We could go to Theological College or become a Priest – but we could still be totally switched OFF in the spirit! Our work ethics could be great but our spirits are dull, and this is probably why Jesus said in Matthew 7 – “I never knew you.. You never really entered into the Holy of Holies in the spirit and met with God.” Matthew 7:21-23 – [“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’] She explained, “The issue is that we take so much care of the physical body, we wash it and clothe in nicely at the utter neglect of the real you. The spirit man. Many times, the church has relied on their academic knowledge over a true encounter with God. They have invested in training our heads rather than training our spiritual senses. Knowledge is not bad, but we have raised it to a higher level of importance than training our spirit and having a genuine encounter with the Lord.” “The spiritually mature are those whose spiritual senses have been trained. Maturity in the spirit is measured by how well you’ve trained your spiritual senses. The enemy has raised a standard against us, but if you’re a spiritual baby you will not be effective in the body of Christ. It is time to mature! There are levels in the spirit and God wants you to go deeper into the things of the spirit.” Galatians 5:16- [So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.]1 Corinthians 3:1-3 –[Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ. I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans?] “If you walk and live in the spirit, you will not live to fulfill the pleasures of the flesh. I believe that for some of us, God is restoring us to our spiritual selves. We need to dig deeper and come up higher. John and Ezekiel are examples of people who were operating in the spirit and perceived that God was saying something. We all need to be in the spirit. Are we switched on in the spirit?” 1 Corinthians 2:14 – [The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.] “You are free and there is a freedom to choose to get unto the things of the spirit, many of us already have a relationship with Jesus – but can you say that you have been transformed? Can other people see that your life has changed? Are people asking about your life or are you just a normal Christian?” “Remember, your blessings are looking for you, for the CORRECT version of you. There are levels in the spirit that we need to ascend to and at this time the Lord is looking for maturity in the body of Christ. There is no point coming to these programs or going to church each Sunday if you’re not growing spiritually.” Hebrews 5:14 – [ But solid food is for the mature, whose spiritual senses perceive heavenly matters. And they have been adequately trained by what they’ve experienced to emerge with an understanding of the difference between what is truly excellent and what is evil and harmful.] Watch this complete message on the replay here:https://www.facebook.com/364077920465512/videos/3505891919504913

THE POWER OF A TRANSFORMED MIND.

Mama Salote Meredith shared a message on the power of a transformed mind. During her message, she explained how man is 3 parts – our spirit, our body, and our soul/mind. When we are born again into the Kingdom of God – our spirit is born again and made whole and new, but our mind and body remain untransformed. Because of this reality, born-again believers in Jesus must have their minds transformed through the Word of God and a relationship with Christ..Proverbs 23:7a- [ For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:] Mama Salote said,“When we are born again – it is just the spirit which is renewed, your mind and body are not transformed. Every baby in Christ starts with an untransformed mind. The problem is when you have been born again for a very long time without a change in your mind or thinking pattern.” Romans 12:2 – [ Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will.] “To not conform to the pattern of this world means to not think according to the thinking pattern of the world. Transformation of the mind is not an overnight change but progressive change day by day, we change our minds from thinking as the world does to thinking with a Kingdom perspective and with the Culture of Heaven. In the Word, there are truths which we need to know.” “The untransformed mind will not allow you to experience the things you should be experiencing in your walk with God. An untransformed mind automatically programs failure. The words you speak and what you do will always be directed towards failure. Your mind will be saying – ‘I can’t do it; I’m not made for this; it’s impossible, etc.’ These are some fruits from the untransformed mind.” “Whereas a transformed mind changes your words and the confession of your mouth. You will now change your perspective and the way you see things around you. You will change the way you do things. Change accelerates things in your life and a transformed mind produces new thought – superior thoughts. You will be happy and content as your mindset is in the right place.” Matthew 6:33 – [But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.] Mama Salote also explained some of the symptoms of an untransformed mind, “An untransformed mind can lead to confusion in life. You do not know what you want to do with your life or why you are alive; where you came from or where you are going. This is something many people are struggling with both Christian and non-Christian. Lacking a sense of purpose in many cases leads to mental health issues and suicidal thoughts.” “Confusion causes there to be no progress in your life. Even if you have given your life to Jesus, you will not be able to make the right choices with a confused mind. You are likened to someone traveling to an unknown place without a map. Imagine choosing a wife without knowing the qualities to look for; or buying a house without knowing the things to look out for.” “Another symptom of an untransformed mind is a lack of emotional control. Your emotions run wild and can manipulate and destroy you if they are not kept in check. Anger, jealousy, and negative emotions have destroyed many great men and women of God. Personally, I’d rather work with people who are emotionally mature than the ones with all the knowledge and qualifications but lack emotional maturity and have emotional issues.” “Unless you choose to change your mind, you will exist on the opinions and insults of others. You will allow yourself to be defined by the mistakes that you make and what others say about you. An untransformed mind is subject to low self-esteem and confidence. You will be caged by the opinions of others. This paralyzes you in life and you will live below average, whereas a person with a transformed mind is defined by what God says about them and they live out a life of excellence. A transformed mind will take you from a mediocre life to a life of excellence.” “We need to go up higher. God will always take you higher when you are in the spirit because we can talk dimensions and levels. That’s why the Word says to walk in the Spirit. When you are at that other level – you don’t have to strive for things to happen, things will just happen for you. You won’t have to line up for job interviews, but interviews will come looking for you. These things are a reality when you live and operate in the spirit and you’re in that other dimension.” Galatians 5:25 –[ If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. ] “It’s all about purpose, not about the money. You know if you just chase money and not purpose, you will spend your life chasing it. God works with the words and thoughts. Whatever it is that you are envisioning in your life and future – speak it out into existence and walk out in faith- walk in the spirit. We are not meant to just live and operate in the natural or in the spirit, but both at the same time!”To watch this complete message, check out the replay here:https://www.facebook.com/364077920465512/videos/394685188384204

PICK UP YOUR SON – PICK UP YOUR PROMISE!

Sanita Ioapo-Tuala shared a message on actively standing and contending for the Promises of God over our lives.Sharing from the scripture: 2 Kings chapter 4 – Sanita explained how our acts of generosity could be the beginning of a breakthrough. For the Shunamite woman, her act of generosity in providing a place for the Prophet Elisha to stay at – set her up for a blessing from the Lord. “The Shunammite woman made a place for Elisha to stay in the Upper room, this was something she did out of a pure place in her heart. She knew that he was a man of God, but she didn’t really know who Elisha was and this is something she did for Elisha, but ultimately it was something she offered unto the Lord.” “She wanted nothing in return and didn’t ask for anything. We can see that she was comfortable. But through her act of giving, God was going to pour forth a blessing, His purpose over her life.” 2 Kings 4:8-13 – [ One day Elisha went to Shunem. And a well-to-do woman was there, who urged him to stay for a meal. So whenever he came by, he stopped there to eat.  She said to her husband, “I know that this man who often comes our way is a holy man of God.  Let’s make a small room on the roof and put in it a bed and a table, a chair and a lamp for him. Then he can stay there whenever he comes to us.”  One day when Elisha came, he went up to his room and lay down there.  He said to his servant Gehazi, “Call the Shunammite.” So he called her, and she stood before him.  Elisha said to him, “Tell her, ‘You have gone to all this trouble for us. Now, what can be done for you? Can we speak on your behalf to the king or the commander of the army?’” She replied, “I have a home among my own people.”] “The Shunammite woman didn’t request for anything when Elisha asked what he could do in return for her generosity. Now we see that Gehazi, Elisha’s servant, came to him and said that the woman did not have a child and her husband was old. What that meant was that there was no hope for a child. I believe that this is a prophetic word for some. There may be things God promised you, or you’ve been believing and standing in faith for a long time, but maybe you still have not seen it manifested.” “I want to tell you today that there is an appointed time for the plans and purposes of God for your life!” 2 Kings 4:14-17 – [So he said, “What then is to be done for her?”And Gehazi answered, “Actually, she has no son, and her husband is old.” So he said, “Call her.” When he had called her, she stood in the doorway.  Then he said, “About this time next year you shall embrace a son.”And she said, “No, my lord. Man of God, do not lie to your maidservant!” But the woman conceived and bore a son when the appointed time had come, of which Elisha had told her.] Sanita explained, “Every vision, every purpose, every plan of God for our lives has an appointed time. I don’t know where you are or what stage you are in life – but I want you to trust in that. That God has an appointed time for you concerning His Promises.” “Scripture tells us – that though it tarries – WAIT for it should surely come to pass! (Habbakuk 2:3) God is not a liar that He would promise you something and then not come through. Sometimes we can ask questions, saying, ‘Lord I thought you said this and this…’ But I want to remind you – if God has promised you something – no matter how many months or years you may wait, know that God will surely bring it to pass.” “Later on in the story, we see that her son died. The son she was promised died right there on her lap.” 2 Kings 4:18-23 – [ And the child grew. Now it happened one day that he went out to his father, to the reapers. 19 And he said to his father, “My head, my head!”So he said to a servant, “Carry him to his mother.”  When he had taken him and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died. And she went up and laid him on the bed of the man of God, shut the door upon him, and went out.  Then she called to her husband, and said, “Please send me one of the young men and one of the donkeys, that I may run to the man of God and come back.” So he said, “Why are you going to him today? It is neither the New Moon nor the Sabbath.” And she said, “It is well.”] Sanita said, “The thing that I love about the Shunamite woman’s approach was when her husband asked her, ‘Why do you need to see the man of God?’ She didn’t even tell her husband and demand answers or a solution. She knew that her husband was not the giver of the promise. The giver of her son – of her promise was the Lord. She knew that her husband was a mere human just like you and I so she took it up with God. And even her saying, ‘It is well’, showed that despite the circumstance – she believed and had faith that all would be well.” “Sometimes we get so frustrated and so worked up and discouraged because we’ve been taking our complaints and issues to the wrong people! They can’t revive what they didn’t give you! Only God can revive what He gave you Himself! Sometimes we depend on people’s answers on why things didn’t work out the way we believed they should have. We feel that the promises are lying stagnant – but I want to encourage you today to take it up to the Lord! The Shunamite woman sought answers from the right place.” 2 Kings 4:32-37 –[ When Elisha came into the house, there was the child, lying dead on his bed.  He went in therefore, shut the door behind the two of them, and prayed to the Lord. And he went up and lay on the child, and put his mouth on his mouth, his eyes on his eyes, and his hands on his hands; and he stretched himself out on the child, and the flesh of the child became warm. He returned and walked back and forth in the house, and again went up and stretched himself out on him; then the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes. And he called Gehazi and said, “Call this Shunamite woman.” So he called her. And when she came in to him, he said, “Pick up your son.”  So she went in, fell at his feet, and bowed to the ground; then she picked up her son and went out.] “The Lord highlighted the words –‘Pick Up Your Son’. See I believe that was a prophetic act, mouth to mouth – feet to feet – hands to hands. I believe that tonight God is going to revive destinies, purposes and visions and callings. There are things that have been dead in us, there are promises and things on our life which need to be revived and awakened.” “If we do not deal with our unbelief along the way it could resurface along the journey. From this story we see the Shunamite woman surrendered her dead promise to the Lord and God brought him back to life! Sometimes the reason we are stuck and why we cannot move forward is because we are not being honest with God about where we’re at. Be authentic. Let Him know you are struggling, let Him know the things on your heart because as you learn to trust and surrender those dead things to God – He will revive and bring the promises back to life.” “If you have a child, a spouse or family member and you feel that you are so close to giving up and praying for them, I want you tonight to tell yourself – pick him up! Pick up your son! Pick up your promise!” To watch the complete message, check out the replay here:https://www.facebook.com/364077920465512/videos/701115617432031
