WATCH YOUR WORDS – PART II
Our tongue, though it be a small part of the body, wields much power. In James 3: 8 – the untamed tongue is referred to as “restless evil, full of deadly poison’.
During last Wednesday’s Spontaneous Night, Pastor Marissa Westerlund spoke about the various ways that we, the Body of Christ, misuse our tongue. She said, “We all know that the tongue is culprit for many cases of dissention between churches, breaking up of families, fights and all kids of issues.”
“The number one misuse of the tongue today is LYING. This is so common! So many of us find it so easy to lie. For some of us, it’s almost like it’s part of our very nature to spill out a lie. The Lord is really wanting us to come up to the standard of the Word. The Bible says that God detests lying lips. It also says that lying is satan’s native language (John 8:44), so we are not meant to associate ourselves with lying lips.”
“If you can control your mouth, you’re able to control all the other things. If you want to be the ‘perfect man’– watch what you say. I feel like this is something that really needs to be hammered into the body.”
[James 3:2 NIV– We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.]
“The second way we misuse our tongue is by GOSSIPING. It’s such a big thing in our community. I Googled gossiping and the definition that came up was that a gossiper is someone who loves to talk about other people’s private matters. They love to go from house to house saying, ‘Hey did you hear what happened to so and so….’. God is really stressing out to us that we ought not to be gossipers, idlers or busybodies, He is requiring us to keep ourselves from those types of habits.”
[1 Timothy 5:13 AMP – Now at the same time, they also learn to be idle as they go from house to house; and not only idle, but also gossips and busybodies, meddlers in things that do not concern then, talking about things they should not mention.]
“The Bible teaches that gossipers will not inherit the Kingdom of God. Gossiping is something that has broken up families and relationships. God is trying to teach us – brothers, sisters, daughters and sons, that we must come up to God’s standard. Gossiping is a misuse of the tongue! If you feel like you can identify yourself in this word, I want you to ready your heart to receive this word. All of us need to be transformed by the Word of God.”
[1 Corinthians 6:9-10 AMP -Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit or have any share in the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral, not idolaters, nor adulterers, nor perversely effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor the drunkards, nor revilers whose words are used as weapons to abuse, insult, humiliate, intimidate, or slander, nor swindlers will inherit or have any share in the Kingdom of God.]
“This morning as I prepared for tonight, the Lord said to me, ‘Do not gossip, slander or talk bad about your leaders, but instead pray for them.’ He’s talking about any kind of leaders, whether its your boss at work, or your church leader or your Pastors. The Bible is very clear that we are not to slander or say any bad thing about our leaders, even for our Governmental leaders; if there are things that you do not agree with them on, don’t go and spread things about them! Pray for them!”
“The third way we misuse our tongue is by BACKBITING. God really doesn’t delight in this and as the Church and the Body of Christ we really need to stop doing it. It is not the will of God to backbite other people. Amen?”
“What you say is what you get. If you speak life, you will have life, if you speak poverty you will have poverty. If you speak defeat, you will live a defeated life. These are all Godly Principles. A man shall eat well by the fruit of his mouth, the words we say don’t just affect our lives, but they also affect the people around us. We need to really ask the Lord to help us control our tongue.”
“While I was meditating and spending time with the Lord this morning, these are some wisdom tips that He gave me to tell you:
1. Some may say to speak your mind, but you don’t have to always say what you think.
2. If you don’t have anything good to say, zip it!
3. Know when to speak, and when to be quiet.
4. It’s better to bite your tongue than to eat your words.
[James 1:19 TPT – My dearest brothers and sisters, take this to heart: Be quick to listen, but slow to speak. And be slow to become angry.]
[Ecclesiastes 3:7b TPT – …(there is) a time to be silent and a time to speak.]
“Before you speak anything, here are 3 questions to ask yourself: 1. Is it true? 2. Does it edify or bring encouragement? Or is it tearing someone down? 3. Is it necessary? Is this the time to say it?”

WATCH YOUR WORDS – PART III
In continuation on his series ‘Watch Your Words’, Apostle Cruise Westerlund elaborated on other ways we misuse our mouth, during last Wednesday’s Spontaneous Night.
He said, “Sometimes we are guilty of speaking out those ‘small’ lies, just to please somebody and I see that a lot in the workplaces. Sometimes with your boss, you say only the good news and you cover up the bad news that you are supposed to tell them, as you don’t want to grieve them or be the ‘bearer of bad news’.”
“You know what? If you walk with Holy Spirit, you will go on about your day without feeling like your day is complete until you tell your boss what is really happening. Some of you need to open up to your boss because everybody else is hiding something which they deserve to know. You have the key to unlock the truth; truth brings liberty and liberty is where God inhabits.”
“I’m speaking to someone! In the workplace, you are holding the key to unlock the mystery. Everybody is concealing that truth. Now because everybody is doing it, you’re doing it too. But you are a Son! The Bible says that a light on a hill can not be hidden. (Matthew 5:14-15) When you are the light of God, you don’t remain hidden. You were meant to be discovered. You were meant to stand out amid darkness. Even though you did not speak a lie, but conceal a lie means you are partnering with a liar.”
“You’re partnering with a liar when you conceal lies for the sake of your co-workers.”
Apostle Cruise then discussed improper ways we use our words to tear down those closest to us.
He said, “The real you comes out with the person that you are closest to. What I mean by that is, if you are closest to your spouse, your spouse is the one who sees and knows the real you. Some people show their true colors at home, to their spouse or their mother for example. You can be so close that you don’t restrain your words like you do with others whom you are not as close to.”
“Even though it may be ‘normal’ in man’s day to day conversation, but to God we have to be careful with what we say. We are empowering with those words ‘You never…’ and ‘You always…’ and whether you see it or not, it has the power to create. We need to recognize the bad words we throw around ‘unknowingly’. They may not be swear words, but are ones we use when we are off-guard.”
“Some of us are very open with our mum’s – that means that you’re nice to everybody else but you’re not nice to your mum. People are like that, and its crazy because that is not how it was supposed to be.”
Using his own life as an example, he continued, “When I get frustrated, there were times when I caught myself off-guard saying, ‘Rissa, you never….’. I try not to get into that habit of saying, “You always….”. The moment I say that, what happens? I am empowering her to become what I say.”
“My question is, what is the result to this problem?”
“You know when I read the word of God, I read it for myself. I don’t read it just to get a message to preach to you, I read it primarily to convict myself so I can become a better son of God. We need to change our words to the words God speaks over us.”
“So, what do I have to do? I need to change my words. We need to send our words the direction we want our life to go. If I’ve been seeing the same results, it’s because I’m saying the same things.”
[James 3: 2- We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.]
“In daily conversation, I endeavor to be like that man who James talked about – able to bridle the tongue and put a watch over the mouth.
[James 3: 3-5- When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. 4 Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. 5 Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark.]

WATCH YOUR WORDS – PART IV
Apostle Cruise Westerlund spoke about the ways we use our tongue to lie. The Bible says that the lying tongue is detestable to the Lord (Proverbs 6: 16-19).
“If you change your words, you can change your circumstance. If you know how to change what you say, you will change so many things in your life spiritually. Last week, we talked about those who consider themselves religious, yet do not keep a tight reign on their tongue, deceive themselves. People who are deceived believe that what they are doing is truth and unknowingly, continue to engage in it.”
James 1 :26- Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.
“Last week, we said that the tongue has no bone, yet can break a heart. The tongue is a small member but can change the course of a marriage. It’s deadly poison and it can kill.”
“One time, I was at this hardware store, I was looking for a light bulb. There was a young man serving me. I asked him for the light bulb I was looking for. Right then, an older man who worked there came by for no reason and said ‘Koikiki lave po lou ulu” (I’m going to slap your head soon).”
“I asked the older man ‘E iai se mafuaaga ua e saunoa ai faapena?’ (Is there something you are not happy with?)”
“See this happens a lot. If someone says something that is not scripturally, morally, ethically right -when you ask that question, you arrest them right at that moment. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. If the mouth is filled with poison, it’s because the heart is sick.”
“What are some things that you know of in your workplace or in your school which are morally incorrect based on the word of God?”
“E ke valea? Makuai fia poko kele a? E ke faavalevalea kele a? Right? That’s what you hear. (Are you stupid? Don’t act smart! You are very stupid!)”
“Some amazing Seers that see into the spiritual realm-whom I’ve met, have said that is how demons talk. That’s their native language, they communicate like that with each other every day. So, when you speak that language, who’s language are you speaking? Demonic language.”
John 8: 42-45 – [Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come here from God. I have not come on my own; God sent me. 43 Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. 44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. 45 Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me!]
“Wives and mother’s- don’t ever say this to your husband-‘O oe a kiapolo..’( You are a demon). You are empowering him to become a demon, that’s why you’re not seeing any change! Your words hold that much weight and power. Sometimes when you are angry, things come out which you regret later. One of hardest scriptures to practice is to be gentle during chaos.”
Proverbs 15: 1- [A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.]
“Family, I am here to convict you to make sure your speech everyday is not contaminated with any lie of any form or any size. Have enough wisdom to think about what you say and the weight it carries when you release it to someone, especially someone you love. Purpose only to speak what is true, what is encouraging and what is necessary.”
“If you are not triumphant in you walk with Christ, you will always be on the defense not the offence. When you’re on the offence, people are coming into the Kingdom, there’s healing taking place, demons being cast out and you’re always stepping forward because your focused on the Great Commission. Your life’s purpose is not to serve the mandate of your ministry; your life’s purpose is to serve the mandate of Heaven.”
“The Ministry can have a mandate, but Heaven also has a mandate. If you are a Kingdom minded person, Heaven’s mandate is before your ministry’s mandate. The ministry’s mandate can be you playing the piano every week, but heaven’s mandate is for you to go out there and love the unlovable and to rescue those who are orphans.”
“The whole purpose for having Bible schools and conferences is to empower you to do the work that Jesus did. Other wise you’ll just be getting fat listening to sermons and not doing anything about it. As the sermon and the Word of God is being released, you are feeding yourself spiritually. The purpose of what we do is to empower you to do what we do, what you can only do with God.”
“Sometimes there will be some mountains that seem too big for you to handle. But remember that the Power of God does not come for you to dodge from the mountain or hide, but to empower you to raise the Standard.”

THE IMMOVEABLE GOD
Encouragement by Apostle Cruise Westerlund-
” I want to remind you of this year 2020- the world is now focusing on the news and events on a Global scale. Things are happening around the world and the world itself will question you ‘Didn’t God say that this would be a year of breakthrough?”
“That’s what the enemy wants you to do; the enemy wants you to question whether God really spoke to you or not? ‘Did God really say?’ Then you start to question yourself, ‘…Did God really say to me…Did He really speak to me?’
“You have every right to dismiss any Prophetic word that contradicts the Word of God. Nothing is as powerful as the Word of God. The Bible says that God esteems His Word above His name. (Psalm 138:2) When God releases a Word, He will bring it to pass.
Isaiah 55:10-11- [As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth, It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.]
“His Word will not return to Him void, with everything He speaks there is a return, and it will come with results. If He says that you are a great man or woman of God, no matter what the left says, no matter what the right says, YOU ARE a great man or woman of God!”
“No matter what your mother said, no matter what your brother said, if God said so- His voice triumphs over everything! For those who have cancer and you’re believing God for a healing – if God says you are healed and the doctor gives you are report that contradicts the Word of God, who would you believe?”
Proverbs 18:10- [The name of the LORD is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.]
“Even your circumstances may contradict the Word of God, but if you believe ALL things are possible, then ALL THINGS are POSSIBLE! That’s what the Bible says! If you believe that 2020 is going to be a wretched year, then that’s what you are going to get!”
“But if you believe the Word of the Lord, if you believe His report, no matter what you see with the natural eye you will be steadfast. This is because you know that you are serving a God who will not be easily moved. He is an IMMOVABLE GOD who is steadfast and solid!

PREPARING FOR THE GREATER GLORY
A Tsunami Glory Wave from Heaven is coming to our nation ‘Samoa’- It is a wave that represents God’s glory. SNF Bible Study last Wednesday, Apostle Cruise said, “Have you been hearing what’s happening all around the world? I’m not talking about the coronavirus; I’m not talking about the crisis all around. I’m talking about God moving amid chaos.”
“As the journalists of the world report what is only seen with the natural eye, The Lord is moving behind the scenes over Wuhan in the Supernatural. People are turning to Jesus and the kingdom of God is advancing like never before!”
“I’m talking about people coming to Jesus in the thousands every second on a global scale. There are Evangelists who have been mobilized to the world – they are moving right now! And God is using them mightily.
“God provides the men and women needed for each generation.”
1 Corinthians 2:9 NIV – [However, as it is written: What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived the things God has prepared for those who love him.]
There are hundreds of Samoans who have dreamt of a Tsunami Wave of Glory, and if you don’t know what it is, it’s God’s plan for the nation of Samoa. It’s not a natural tsunami but a spiritual one – His glory will be like a Tsunami which will bring a tidal wave in the spiritual realm that overpowers all obstacles standing in its way. The enemy is working beyond the clock to delay the Promise of God. The adversary is working overtime and he can only delay it from happening for he cannot prevent it. ” Unlike meteorologists that can have a wrong prediction on certain weather patterns. This forecast will surely take place because it has been announced by The Almighty God himself.
“To me, the Greater Glory is God’s Divine Habitation on the Earth. It’s His residential address on the earth. It’s literal. Because God’s Presence is literal. You could call it a mass move of God, mass repentance from sin. So, when the glory wave comes, people will be repenting and saying I need to repent from adultery, I need to repent from fornication. It’s going to be a supernatural move that ignites faith to believe God for the impossible.”
“A lot of the night clubs will be closed when the Glory wave comes. You could be walking into a bus and the driver recognizes the glory of God in you, decides to pause everything and commit a moment to pray for all the passengers on board. Right now, none of us have tasted it but it doesn’t mean that we cannot have an appetite for it.
“My goal is to get you prepared for what God has in store for you. To ready you! To help you understand the times and the seasons that Almighty God has set. God has spoken to so many people about it and according to the Bible, it says that God is not a man that He should lie.”
“God is waiting for you to be ready because once it comes it’s going to be the greatest thing that’s ever happened to this nation.
“No one can tell you everything that He is about to do in this last glory movement; we can give you parts, portions and downloads that we have heard and received, but when it comes down to it all… it will exceed all our expectations- all our sermons and preaching because we ourselves haven’t been there to see it in actuality. We are just in this pregnancy season. We are expecting it!” When a woman is expecting a baby, she usually goes through a period of 9 months before conception. Unfortunately, some of the children of God have been pregnant for 5 years (spiritually speaking) and they still haven’t given birth to the promises of God. They have been long over-due!
The Global Prophetic voice is anticipating the Greater Glory move of God on the earth. The Lord placed it in my heart that the month of March – It is time for preparations and I need to start talking about the ‘Greater Glory’ Thus why tonight and for the next few weeks, we are putting together a series entitled ‘The Greater Glory’ We will visit and study some non-fiction stories of people who God used in the past to impact their generation for the kingdom. One of the main resources that we will be exploring is called “God’s General’s” by Roberts Liardon. Please take note that these are the former generations, they are here no longer but have passed on to be with the Lord.” Based on God’s global promise, we are living in the days where the Greater Glory is ever increasing. In other words, it will surpass all the previous Glory Revival movements put together. Buckle up your seat-belts as we journey to create faith for the Greater Glory move of God on the earth today. More than ever, let’s believe God for his Tsunami wave of glory that is predestined to hit Samoa.
Matthew 16:3 NIV-[…’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.]
It’s time to believe God. It’s time to expect from God! It’s time to rejoice in God. His plans are marvelous, and we need to be prepared for what he has in store. Remember that no eye has seen, no ear has heard, no human mind has conceived the things God has prepared for those who love him.
