With the start of a new month and season, our leaders felt inspired to transition from our usual Spontaneous Night. Last Wednesday, we conducted the SNF Forerunners program titled “Intimacy with the Father.”
Apostle Cruise led the session by recounting the story of Martha and Mary from Luke 10:38-42, emphasizing Verse 41, “You are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed, Mary has chosen what is better,” encouraging us to follow Mary’s example of sitting at Jesus’ feet.
Mary’s decision to prioritize her relationship with Jesus over performance-based activity exemplified a calm and collected attitude, in contrast to Martha’s anxious state. The message stressed the significance of genuine surrender without the pressure to perform. Drawing from our Samoan tradition of hospitality, Apostle Cruise urged those akin to Martha to transition into Mary’s posture of devotion, and that those who are Mary to stay Mary. “Don’t ever get so busy serving God that you miss God,” Apostle emphasized.
Following the teaching, the gathering was divided into five groups led by core leaders, focusing on aspects like love, mercy, forgiveness, healing and deliverance, encouragement, and prayer. Participants engaged in prayer, shared scriptures, and worshiped together. Afterward, everyone dispersed into a posture of worship as Lead Intercessor Brother Asuelu invoked the sound of Heaven.
Everyone then regrouped in a circle where each group leader, under the unction of the Holy Spirit, ministered to each individual by releasing the fire of God, personal prophetic words, and confirmations.
Testimonies abounded, sharing how the Lord has ministered to them.
One woman found resonance in the story of Mary and Martha, recognizing the need to prioritize intimacy with Jesus amidst life’s busyness.
Another attendee felt a heavy burden being lifted off him during the session and received a word of encouragement, stating that he will not leave empty-handed as he has received joy from the Lord to strengthen him.
Another young lady shared how she has been busy with family faalavelave and has been feeling tired and lacking energy for her personal time with the Lord. She attempted to seek the Lord alone but found it challenging. Realizing she couldn’t do it alone, she attended an SNF Intimacy with the Father program and was greatly encouraged. During the session, as she poured out her heart to the Lord, she expressed a desire for Him to acknowledge that He hears her. Surprisingly, one of the group leaders relayed a message from the Lord to her, affirming, “The Lord says that I hear you, and I forgive you.”
Apostle Cruise gave an exhortation from Ezekiel 47, where Ezekiel ventured deeper into the river, from his ankles to his knees to his waist, until he was fully immersed. He likened this to our Intimacy with the Father, promising that as we continue attending with faith and hunger in the upcoming Wednesdays, we’ll delve deeper into the river of God. Through this, we’ll experience His joy, freedom, and glory both individually and corporately.
If you are tuning in live, we encourage you to put on your headset and join us in listening, worshiping, and reading the Word of God as we delve into the river of His Glory together.
Join us this Wednesday the 12th of June, 2024 at the SNF Ministry where we are gonna delve into into His Presence through Worship, Prayer, and the Word.
